ABOUT US

James Armstrong

Now a professional writer and musician, James was a teacher of French and Drama for 21 years. He has also worked as a Creative Writing Tutor in Adult Education.

He was co-founder of The Maidstone Poets with well-known children's poet and Stuckist artist Charles Thomson and has been performing his poetry and songs at literary venues and schools across the country for the last 15 years.

As a singer/songwriter he has performed on BBC, ITV and CBS television. He plays a variety of musical instruments including guitar, melodeon, harmonica, banjo, keyboards and percussion.

Geraldine Aldridge

Geraldine has spent years looking for a job she could do dressed as a dragon or witch without being sent home. Her favourite pastime is writing poems in the middle of the night.

She is a published poet and sings and plays the bodhran and penny whistle in a folk group. She is also a published illustrator, storyteller, artist and musician and has spent many years working creatively with children and adults in playgroups and craft workshops. She is currently writing a series of children's novels.
